MAKING A PURCHASE
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Switch/Maestro, Visa Delta, Electron, Solo and JCB cards which are registered in the UK. We charge for every item as soon as the checkout procedure is complete as we feel this is the most secure way of processing payments. You may also send your credit card information via phone to 01635 868517.
When confirmation of order is received, this indicates that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that an error has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
If purchasing a product which includes a sharp object eg (knife, scissors) you are agreeing that you are of legal age (18 years or older) to purchase such a product.
Please note that prices that appear online do not necessarily apply to purchases made in the shop.
SHIPPING AND HANDLING
Orders are usually shipped within 48hrs and posted by Interlink and Royal Mail? Please ensure that someone is in to sign for it. If an item is unable to be delivered and not collected from the depot (Interlink or Royal Mail)? within 7 days, the parcel will be returned to us and you will be charged postage rates again to resend the items to you. Deliveries are only classified as lost after a period of 14 days after posting.
Free postage orders will be sent via Interlink service unless your delivery address is located within the Royal mail only area as shown in our Postcode Clarification Areas section on our delivery page.
We deliver your order right away. We will normally send your order to you within 2 business days.
You must inform us within three working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is included.
CREDIT CARD SECURITY
When the order is placed at our website your card details are taken by ??????? on our behalf. At no point are they available to us.

Thatcham Army Surplus do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment, including Courier & Customer Feedback and in sending our newsletter. In both cases, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Consumer Rights Directive.
Thatcham Army Surplus is committed to customer satisfaction. Any items with which you are not satisfied can be either exchanged or refunded within 28 days of receipt, providing they are unused and in a saleable condition. This provision does not affect your statutory rights relating to faulty goods.
The address for returns is given above. If you wish to return any item please use the returns forms provided here, a link to the returns form can be found on each page of this site. Please fill the form in with full details of your preference (refund or exchange) and details of size, colour and item if an exchange is required. If you return an item within fourteen days of receiving your order then you will be entitled to a full refund if you have notified us by letter or email of your wish to cancel the transaction, if you return the goods more than fourteen days after receiving the item only the cost of the items can be reimbursed. The cost of the postage to return the items for either exchange or refund must be covered by the customer. (This does not apply to faulty items). When returning a faulty item we will reimburse reasonable postage costs. Costs for returning an item can be found at Royal Mail`s website and Parcelforce`s website.
We suggest that you use a secure method of postage such as the Royal Mails Signed for service, when returning goods as we cannot be held responsible for parcels lost on return to us.
Additional postage will be charged to return any exchanged items back even if it previously included free postage. If an order has included free postage and items are returned to us that take the value of the order below our free postage amount, the charge for postage (maximum £6.99) will be deducted from your refund.
If you are unable to print our returns form out you can either return your goods with a copy of your invoice and a small note or you can use the cancellation form below, which can be copied into an email.
